Sonus Glyde Clay Lubricant is formulated to provide superior surface lubrication for all detailing clays. After you wash your car, use Sonus Glyde Clay Lubricant and Sonus SFX Ultra Fine Detailing Clay regularly to remove embedded contaminants such as:
- Metallic rail and brake dust
- Road grime (tar, grease, tire rubber)
- Insect and bird leavings
- Road salts, hard water deposits, industrial fallout and acid rain
- Fine paint overspray
How to clay your car's paint with Sonus Glyde Clay Lubricant and Sonus SFX Detailing Clay:
- Wash and dry your vehicle.
- Cut off a piece of Sonus SFX Ultra-Fine Detailing Clay and work it into a flat shape that's roughly as round as the palm of your hand.
- Spray a mist of Sonus Glyde Clay Lubricant onto the area of the car you're going to clean
- Lightly rub in a back and forth motion on the paint where you have sprayed the clay lube. The clay will absorb the embedded contaminants.
- Flip the clay over as it gets dirty or simply roll the clay into a ball and press it out into your palm again. Repeat the process until the paint feels as smooth as glass.
- When you've finished claying the paint, wash the car to remove the clay lubricant and any remaining dirt and contaminants.
- Your paint is now ready for polishing, wax or sealants.
Notes about using an auto detailing clay bar:
- Lightly rub the clay across the paint, do not rely on you force to remove the contaminants from the paint.
- Always use a clay lubricant when using a clay bar your paint. Do not use simple soap and tap water.
- If you drop a piece of clay onto the ground, it is contaminated! Throw it away and start with a new piece of clay.
